The form below is to be used by volunteers to sign-up for Packapalooza™ on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Please be advised: all volunteers are expected to be flexible with their schedules during the event. As a volunteer, you have the ability to indicate your availability. Keep in mind that it will take hundreds of people to help us execute this event.

We are also seeking Super Volunteers who will manage groups of eight to ten people to assist with the setup and kick-off of the event. You will meet with the planning committee before the event for training and to familiarize yourself with the footprint of the event. We are looking for people who are early risers with good leadership skills and who can commit to the entire time frame from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. You will be provided with a t-shirt, light breakfast, lunch, and access to the VIP area for the headliner’s performance.

Volunteer Information:

  • Volunteers should register by August 9 to receive their preferred t-shirt size.
  • New volunteers must complete a 30-minute crowd management module by August 20 at 11:59 p.m. at the latest.
  • You will be signing up as an individual online, but we do ask for information about being a part of a group (e.g. campus department, student organization, etc.).
  • Event Timeline:
    • Setup from 6 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • Event is from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.
    • Tear down from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
  • All volunteers must be available for at least three hours.
  • All volunteers must be at least age 18 if volunteering.
  • All volunteers will be assigned to their locations and tasks on the day of the event. Volunteers’ time blocks are assigned ahead of time.
    • Tasks may include but are not limited to: giving directions, assisting patrons, staffing t-shirt tables, moving supplies from point to point, directing traffic, assisting with zone management, and other assigned tasks.
  • Volunteers will be contacted with instructions the week of August 19 and volunteer information sessions will be held. All volunteers are encouraged to attend one of these sessions.
